Softies(TM)
are a unique and innovative type of jewelry that combines fiber with beads in a wearable, exciting, and comfortable bracelet that slips over your hand and conforms like a blanket to your wrist. The softest novelty yarn was used so that these are sure to be the most comfortable bracelets you’ll ever wear! They come in a variety of colors and sizes (even half-sizes). Cuff width is about 2″ and so is the beaded fringe.

Fresh Evergreen Fine Silver, Sterling, and Spearmint Green Pearl Earrings

If she likes nature, walks in the woods, and growing things this is the perfect gift. Precious Metal (Art Clay) is made with fine silver particles suspended in a pliable binder which burns off in a flame or kiln. To make these earrings, fine silver slip was painted in numerous layers onto a real sprig of evergreen, then fired resulting in a .999 purity silver replica. Jump rings in fine silver wire were created and attached in a second firing and a frosty, reflective matte finish was then created with a stiff brass brush. Segments with a spearmint green pearl and sterling patterned bead wrapped on sterling silver wire were attached to the evergreen sprig on one end and to a sterling silver leverback earring finding on the other. Because these were made from an actual piece of evergreen the two are not exactly alike in size and shape. They measure approximately 3-3 1/4″ long, and 3/4″ wide at their widest point. These make elegant eveningwear and also look great worn on the type of job where elegance is an asset. These come in a white or gold-foil-covered jewelry box with thick padded cotton insert.
Fine Silver Early Budding Vine Bracelet With Chrysoprase Cabs
This Budding Vine Bracelet(TM) represents approximately 2 weeks of 8-hour-a-day labor. It’s part of my new line of fine silver pieces, many of which are bejeweled organic forms. The continuous bangle bracelet is a hollowform, which makes it surprisingly lightweight and comfortable to wear. Many layers of Fine silver clay slip were painted onto a real vine which was doubled around itself, then burned out in the firing process, leaving a .999 silver content piece (its purity higher than sterling which is.925 pure). It took about 3 firings to get all the details to look exactly the way that I wanted and to add the bezels in which I set 7 genuine, gem quality Chrysoprase cabs. These Cabochons are the prized intense apple green (more like “traffic light” green) that is the most desireable in this stone. I put a very light patina on this one; just enough to show the grooves and natural curves and twists of the vine as it circles around, while still showing the lightly brushed silver underneath. It fits an 8″ wrist, and is made slightly wider in one direction than the other so that you can twist it on without having to force it. Once on, the comfortable design leaves your arm some wiggle-room while staying securely on. (It won’t come off your hand unless you intentionally take it off by gently twisting the same way as you put it on). Stay tuned for more budding vine bracelets. Each one will be one-of-a-kind.
