Ceramic teacup, designed to encourage the user to engage in intimate and relaxing tea drinking ritual. The form suggests holding the cup with two hands thus evoking the spirit of the Far East and traditional ways of drinking tea. The cup was designed with proportions of the human hand in mind, closely observing the natural hand position one makes when trying to form a container for drinking.
Cup is thicker at the bottom in order to make it more stable and prevent burning one’s hands while holding it. Although the cup is meant to be held with both hands, it can also be held comfortably with one hand. Besides its obvious practical purpose, the cup is designed to provide a means of escape from our busy and noisy daily routine by imposing certain rules on its user.

The packaging is handmade from 280 die-cut sheets of paper, glued together and bound in hard cover. Only paper is used in production of packaging so as to emphasize the beauty of natural materials, while preserving the environment as much as possible.
